Our Lord took Elna home as she slept peacefully on March 20, 2022.  In addition to a long life as a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother she had worked as a trained nurse in the late 1930's and became a full time stay at home mom in the late 1940's.

Elna's marriage to Ed Vavrina spanned nearly 65 years when he passed away November 2, 2008.  After living in Los Angeles, Pico Rivera and Hemet, CA they eventually made their home in Las Vegas, NV in 1990 where they spent their nights gambling and days sleeping, "curb shopping" and entertaining guests.  They both felt those last 18 years in Las Vegas were the most fun.

Elna was preceded in death by her husband, parents and 5 siblings.  Her surviving family includes daughters Marilyn (Keith) Bauer, Claudia (John) Camarillo, grandchildren Desirée (Anders) Wallin, Ian (Karolina) Camarillo and Nicholas Camarillo along with great-grandchildren Linus and Eli Wallin, Sophia and Patrick Camarillo and Matix and Adrian Camarillo.

Elna lived a full life and leaves behind many incredible memories and most importantly a growing family.

Elna and Ed will be inurned at the National Cemetery in Riverside, CA.
