Carolyn Anne Webb Erwin, aged 91, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister died on June 16, 2018. Anne was born on December 8, 1926 in Plainview, Texas, to Robert Percy Brown Webb and Evelyn Lois Richards Webb. She graduated from Texas Tech University in 1948 and taught school in Midland, Texas. She eventually went on to earn her Masters in Library Science from Texas Woman's University. On July 10, 1954, she married Lt. Col. Jack Erwin (USMC). Jack was in the Marines and this meant that they lived all over the country, including Virginia and, Anne's favorite Coronado, California. Upon retirement, they moved to Dallas in 1972. Anne was an active member at the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration and the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd. She served her community, giving countless hours of her time and energy. She was a ferocious bridge player and a militant smoker. She loved her family and loved to travel. She especially adored going to Europe where she and Jack tread the cobblestones, wearing out countless "rolley bags." Anne was preceded in death by her loving husband Jack in 2014. She is survived by her two children and their beloved families; Cecile, David, and George Young, and Robert, Jill, Zed, and Holt Erwin. She especially loved that her grandchildren called her Darlin'. She is also survived by her sister Jane Bacon. Anne will be laid to rest beside her husband, Jack at DFW National Cemetery on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 11:15 A.M. The family will greet visitors on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at ARIA Memorial Chapel located at 19310 Preston Road, Dallas, Texas 75252.
