Sophia (Sophie) Claire Etheridge A gathering is planned for January 10, 2016, from (about) 2:45-3:45 at the Grandview Grange 2280 East Noble Place, Centennial, Colorado to celebrate her life and share memories. This is primarily intended for her Colorado friends, but others are welcome. Light hors doeuvres will be served; feel free to bring something to share. All are invited to bring and share memories, via digital images (still or animated), spoken or written sentiments (bring with you or write something on paper provided, anonymous or signed, to be given to Claire and/or read at the gathering, or sealed for no-one else to see and buried with her ashes at a later time). A Memorial service was held the evening of Tuesday, November 17, 2015 First Presbyterian Church of Plano 1500 Jupiter Road, Plano, TX 75074 Survived by: her loving parents, Claire Bennett of Centennial CO, and Mark Etheridge and partner, Laura Dorsett of Plano TX; sister Alexis Etheridge of Irving TX; grandmother Georgia Etheridge, Reese TX; aunts & uncles: Daniel & Elizabeth (McCutcheon) Horn, Roswell NM; David and Patricia (Campbell) Bennett, Englewood CO; Michael & Patricia (Etheridge) Spenla, Reese TX; Gregory & Peggy Etheridge, Richardson TX; Lee & Ginger Etheridge, Manvel TX; Joseph & Vickie Etheridge, Virginia Beach VA; a large extended family; and pet schnauzer Crimson. Preceded in death by grandparents Irving Bennett, Florence Skinner, Denver CO; Travis Etheridge, Reese TX. Though born in Colorado, she was a Texan at heart with Aggie spirit. She attended Log Cabin Learning Academy (Killeen TX), First Step Learning Center (Temple TX), Oak Creek School (Garland TX), Miller Elem (Richardson TX), Murphy MS (Murphy TX), Newton MS (Centennial CO), Armstrong MS (Plano TX); freshman at McMillen HS (Murphy TX). She was also a videographer for PISD football games. She loved all critters. She was a sweet, polite, multi-talented, quirky, meticulous, unique, smart, and beautiful person. She was loved by many and touched countless more. She participated in two years of Kung Fu, progressing through five levels, and four years of Drama Kids International. Sophie played softball in Sachse for one season and she had also played clarinet in the band. Her passions included playing piano; watching (and drawing) anime and manga; creating other visual art with various media (painting, photography, origami …); playing video games; listening to music; watching movies, cartoons, and silly videos. Her favorite food was Steak - rare.
