Eugene Wayne ("Gene") Davis, age 82, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. Born in Portland, Maine, on September 17, 1942 to Walter William and Eleanor Mary Davis, Gene lived a long life filled with love, travel, family, and friendship.

Gene is survived by his beloved wife, Veronika, and his three children: Bill (and his wife, Janelle), Stephanie (and her husband, Homero), and Carleton (and his wife, Melanie). Gene's greatest joy was his family, and he adored his five grandchildren—Luke, Sam, Elias, Benjamin, and Eleanor—who will carry on his love, kindness, and generous spirit. He will also be lovingly remembered by the many members of the Mancuso, Obrecht, and Peña families for his twinkling eyes, his sense of humor, and his generous heart.

Gene's family would like to extend a special thanks to the compassionate staff of Faith Presbyterian Hospice and the T Boone Pickens Hospice Center, especially Nalishebo (Nali) Chongo, who provided excellent care, assistance and comfort.
