Russell Luther Farabee, known to friends as "Rusty", passed away suddenly on December 30, 2017 at the age of 62 years. A native of Dallas, Rusty first attended the University of North Carolina to play football for the UNC Tarheels. Later he returned to the University of Texas and graduated from Southern Methodist University Law School. He practiced real estate law in the Dallas area for more than 30 years and was known for his brilliance, creativity and undaunted tenacity. He loved to discuss politics, read science fiction, sing, and listen to music. He had a strong and deep love for animals and enjoyed spending hours on his porch looking at the local wildlife. Rusty is survived by his daughters Valerie and Elizabeth Farabee, his sister, Karen (Meredith) Hill, his niece Julie (Scott) McClure, and numerous friends and acquaintances in the Dallas area and beyond. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, January 6th from 2-4 pm at the home of Ellen Latham, 3817 Northwest Pkwy, University Park TX 75225.
