Obituary

Jean Sipperly Fekety, 94, passed away in Dallas on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 6 at the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration, 14115 Hillcrest Rd., Dallas, TX 75254. Jean was born March 2, 1919 in Bridgeport, CT, the only child of Everett L. and Ruth Madden Sipperly. For 42 years, she loved being married to Arthur until his death in 1982. She was a founding member of the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration. Jean also served as city secretary for the Town of Buckingham, TX, was a founding member of the Richardson Youth Recreation Center and was an active member of the Dallas Council on World Affairs and the Dallas Corinthian Yacht Club. She was an avid reader and traveler, and was very involved in the school and band activities of her children. The family especially thanks Larry Weismer and her devoted caregivers at Weismer House in Dallas. She is survived by her daughters, Ann Fekety and husband Mike Klinke of Flagstaff, AZ; and Susan Fekety of Austin; son, Peter Fekety of Fort Worth. If desired memorials may be made to the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration Children's Ministries.
