Carrie Frances Fisher, loved around the world and known for her role as Princess Leia in the Star Wars movies, passed away December 27, 2016 at the age of 60. Carrie was was an American actress, author, screenwriter, producer, and speaker. She was born on October 21, 1956 in Beverly Hills, California to singer Eddie Fisher and actress Debbie Reynolds. Carrie attended Beverly Hills High School but, due to her appearance in the Broadway hit Irene, she did not graduate. She did, however, go on to attend Londons Central School of Speech and Drama and then Sara Lawrence College. She left before graduating from Sara Lawrence due to scheduling conflicts with Star Wars filming. Carries professional career spanned over 40 years. Some of her work as an actress included five Star Wars films, Shampoo, The Blues Brothers, When Harry Met Sally, as well as several appearances in television shows including Saturday Night Live, Sex and the City, Ellen, 30 Rock, The Big Bang Theory and Family Guy. Carrie F. Fisher was preceded in death by her father, Eddie Fisher.
