Obituary

Brett Douglas Fletcher passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 21, 2017 in Plano, TX. He was 48 years old. Despite Bretts diagnosis with a rare Gliosarcoma, he remained positive and optimistic throughout his courageous battle. A memorial service will be held at Aria Funeral Chapel, located at 19310 Preston Rd in Dallas, TX. Chaplain Tim Kerrick will preside over the service at 10:30 am. Brett was born on August 17, 1969 in Columbus, OH to Carolyn Stock (Lawrence) and Gary Gee Fletcher. He grew up in Dallas, TX and was a graduate of Skyline High School where he excelled at many sports including swimming and golf. Brett was an avid golfer and achieved the title of PGA Professional. He helped manage the golf program within several country clubs around the Dallas area. Most recently Brett was a successful sales and leasing associate at McKinney Dodge in McKinney, TX. Brett is preceded in death by his father, Gary Gee Fletcher of Plano, TX. Survivors include his mother, Carolyn Stock and second father for 43 years, Bob Stock of Pagosa Springs, CO; his daughter, Brittany Michelle of Wylie, TX; his brothers Chad Fletcher (Lauren) of Dallas, TX, Jason Stock (Elisha) of Georgetown, TX and Allan Kennedy (Kylee) of Nevada, TX; his sister Danielle Fletcher of Plano, TX; and nieces and nephews: Kyler, Paige, Hunter, Caroline, Kyle, Jordan and Phillip. Bretts greatest treasure in life were the strong friendships he had. The family of Brett Douglas Fletcher would like to thank those friends for their enduring support during this difficult time. He was blessed to have you all in his life and we are grateful that you appreciated having him in yours.
