Frank
Trevino
Jun 4, 1934 — Mar 28, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the loss of Frank "The old man" Trevino, affectionately known as 'The old man', but who preferred just 'Frank'. Born on June 4, 1934, Frank peacefully departed from this world on March 28, 2025.
Frank is survived by his loving wife, Maria (Eva) Trevino; his sons, Frank Jr., Danny, Ricky, and Johnny Trevino; his brothers, Joe and Ray Trevino; and numerous grandchildren including, Mary (LeAnne) Grafflin, Lily Aurora Trevino, Marcus and Nicholas Cortez, Chloie, Allie, Brookylnne, Emma, Logan, Ethan, Xander, and Destiny Trevino. Also, two great grandchildren, Julian Gomez and Apollo Francisco Trevino. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Norma, who is already in Heaven, and will also be forever in our hearts.
Frank was a cherished member of his family and the community who left an indelible imprint on those who were fortunate to have met him.
Frank proudly served our nation in the Army, enlisting in 1957. After a fulfilling career he retired from his last role as an A/P Mechanic in 2009. He was a man of many passions and interests. Frank's favorite foods were tacos and soups, perfectly paired with an ice-cold Coca Cola or a freezing Budweiser. He enjoyed perusing car magazines, listening to classical and Mexican music, and watching news stations. His love for 'Little House on the Prairie' and other classical movies was well known among his close friends and family.
Artistic and hands-on, Frank loved self-drawn sketches and often found himself engaged with crafts and projects. He was a true sports enthusiast, ardently supporting the Cowboys and Mavericks, and would never miss a chance to join card games or wager. He loved to bet on horses, but unfortunately his choice would always end up being last in the race. Frank relished any live entertainment and loved working around the house. He also enjoyed his morning workout routine which included push-ups, which he religiously followed.
Frank had a preference for the color green, a trait synonymous with his love for life and nature. He loved vacationing in the Valley (South Texas), the Caribbean, and California. His causes were close to his heart; he was a generous donor to both the Police and Veteran charities.
Frank's personality was one of readiness to help others, no matter what. Some of his most cherished accomplishments were his service in the Army, having five wonderful children, and being married to his beloved wife Maria for nearly 50 years. His legacy will carry on and keep the family name going, with the grandsons who proudly wear his name.
We will never forget Frank, 'The old man,' for his benevolent spirit, enduring devotion to family, and his intrinsic warmth. His profound wisdom and kindness will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever reside in the hearts and minds of all those he touched.
