Fred W. Brockschmidt, 85, of Coppell, Texas passed away on January 29, 2024. He was born August 25, 1938, in Port Arthur, Texas to Addine Hilley Brockschmidt and Henry C. Brockschmidt, and graduated in 1956 from Thomas Jefferson High School in Port Arthur, Texas. Fred married his "Little Bride", Alice Fay Smith, on December 5, 1958, and they were married for 65 wonderful years. Fred was a Structural Steel Designer and Detailer and worked many years in Beaumont, Texas. He was known at work for his highly requested caricature/cartoon drawings that depicted situations in and out of the office. He loved cars (especially fast ones), boats (with powerful motors), fishing, the Dallas Cowboys and of course his family. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Erma Brockschmidt Krutilek. He is survived by his wife, Alice; daughter, Phyllis Brockschmidt Ethridge and her spouse, Randy Ethridge; and grandsons, Brock Ethridge and Brant Ethridge.
