Obituary

Alleta Sonja Freeman, loving Mother, Grandmother, and Dallas Businesswoman passed away on May 9, 2019. Alleta was born on April 15, 1946 in upstate New York, the only child of Dutch jeweler Stanley H. Freeman and famous Dutch actress Susie Klein. Alleta is survived by her two sons (David Burton & wife Laura, Michael Burton & wife Blair) and five Grandchildren (Jordan Williamson, Josh & Claire Burton, and Charlie & Margaret Susanna Burton). Alleta completed her secondary education in Corpus Christi, TX at W.B. Ray High School in 1964. Alleta left Texas to study and earn degrees from both Briarcliff College in New York and the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Alleta continued her formal education in Philosophy and Religions at Christ for the Nations Institute, Word of Faith, Dallas Theological Seminary, and the Kaballah Center. Alleta's early career as a News Reporter and Anchorwoman included work at several networks including KJAC, KIII, and WFAA. Alleta's business pursuits included work in the Financial Services industry with Merrill Lynch and Solomon and Associates. Alleta served in leadership roles at several ministry organizations, including a term as President of WEGO (World Encounter Gospel Organization) and as Founder and CEO of the Stanley H. Freeman Memorial Foundation.
