Obituary

Gail Ann Fedor Hollcroft was born on December 6, 1939 in Cleveland, Ohio. Gail went to heaven on November 30, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Emma Jane Fedor, her father, retired Colonel Ernest Joseph Fedor, DDS, and her sister, Susan Jane Parry. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Thomas Hollcroft, her three children, Douglas (RaeShel), Andrea Carrillo (Rodney), and Kristy Jewell (Jeff), her six grandchildren, Garrett Hollcroft, Shelby Hollcroft, Jay Carrillo, William Jewell, Bobby Jewell and Thomas Jewell, and her brother, Gerald Fedor. Growing up in a military family had a profound impact on her. Some of her fondest memories as an adult were from the years her family moved around, and she would recount those stories for her children. Gail graduated from Heidelberg American High School and attended college at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. After she left college, Gail took a job as a stewardess with United Airlines. It was checking in at the crew desk after a flight that she met the love of her life, a pilot named Tom Hollcroft. After dating and working a few flights together over the next six months, Tom mentioned hed been moved from Chicago to New York. Tom said he wished she could go with him, and she said she could if they were married, and thats exactly what they did on November 24, 1962. Soon after they married, Tom returned to active duty in the U.S. Navy which took them to Coronado, California and Pensacola, Florida before they moved to Texas and built their life together with their three children. Gail and Tom were active members of Messiah Lutheran Church for 57 years. Gails greatest legacy is her faith, her beautiful family that she built with Tom, and her unfailing sweetness of spirit and compassion towards people and animals. Gail will be remembered for her sweet smile. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Messiah Lutheran Church, Plano, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to Messiah Lutheran Church in Gails name. To view Gails remembrance page, please click link: https://my.gather.app/remember/gail-hollcroft
