It is with great sadness the family of David "Scott" Galbraith announces his sudden passing in Dallas, Texas, on Wednesday, August 15th, 2018 at the age of 60. Dearly loved husband of Julia Promnitz, loving and proud father of Emma Galbraith (Adrian), Lisa Galbraith and Maxi, his faithful canine companion. Cherished son of Robert and Joan Galbraith. Much loved brother to Jeffrey Galbraith, Timothy Galbraith and Judy Ashman (Don) and his nephews Matthew and Thomas Ashman. Scott worked with Matthews Southwest, as President of Matthews Affordable Income Development, in Dallas Texas. He was responsible for negotiating several workforce housing projects for those needing affordable housing in the southern United States. He graduated from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute with a degree in Urban and Regional planning, along with development training from University of Waterloo. Scott was certified as an Economic Developer in Canada and the United States. Scott's compassionate, loyal and generous nature will always be remembered by his family and friends. Per his wishes he will be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, August 27th (11:00am to 2pm) in Canada at Sunningdale Country Club. 465 Sunningdale Rd W., London, Ontario, Canada. There will also be a Remembrance Gathering on Friday, August 31st (4:30pm to 7:30pm) in Dallas Texas at The Loft at Gilley's. 1135 S.
