Gary Young Dennis, resident of Plano, TX, formerly of New York, NY, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2018 at the age of 66 years. Gary was born on August 29, 1951 in New York, NY to Willard and Christine Dennis. The middle son of three boys, he spent most of his life in the Bronx, NY with family and friends. In 2000, he married his wife Renee and they relocated to North Texas in 2012. Gary enjoyed cooking, going to the beach, and playing cards. He loved sports, particularly baseball and football, and was an avid New York Yankees and New York Giants fan. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 7:00pm, at 17390 Preston Rd. Suite 310. Gary is survived by his wife, Renee Dennis of Texas, his son, Omar Smoot of New York, four step-children, Melissa Martinez of Canada, Corinne Bourke of New York, Michael Henry of Texas, Johnathan Henry of Texas; his nieces and nephew, Christina Dennis of Virginia, Shakina Lee of Georgia, Mahisha Henry of Florida, Sheena Garcia of Florida, and Corey Dennis of Maryland; and a host of cousins, grandchildren, other family and friends. Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Christine Dennis, his eldest brother, Willard Dennis Jr. and younger brother, Steven Dennis.
