March 3, 2018 was a special day for Heaven as our beloved Roland Gasmena is in peace and has been reunited with his parents and brothers. Roland is survived by his wife Dianne Fite Gasmena of Carrollton, Texas; son Nicholas Gasmena of Mesa, Arizona; sister, Lisa Maglalang; step daughters, Cyndee St. Germaine and Melissa Fuesling; grandchildren, Sophia and Blaine Fuesling. His lifetime of achievements both professionally and personally have garnered him the love, respect, and loyalty of his friends, colleagues, and family. Roland curated over 12 patents during his career, which had significant importance towards the advancement of both oceanic and space exploration. He loved his work, cooking Filipino food, disco dancing, fast cars, and spending time with his family. His smile and jokes lifted the spirits of those around him, and his lifetime of work and achievements were some of his most proud moments. His lifes philosophy was to work hard, play hard, and "never gamble with scared money". You will be greatly missed. Thanks for being the amazing husband, father, grandfather, and mentor to many.
