Gladys Louise
Chambers
Dec 10, 1931 — Apr 25, 2026
Gladys Louise Chambers of Little Elm, Texas passed away on April 25, 2026, at the age of 94.
She was born December 10, 1931 in Birmingham, Alabama—born to Arthur Lattimore and Rosie Inge, she was their only child.
She worked for more than 30 years at Briggs & Stratton as a floor inspector, known for her precision and dedication. Even after retiring, she continued working with Milwaukee Public Schools as a food service worker, offering care and consistency to children until she finally decided—on her own terms—that it was time to rest. Gladys was a bowler in the National Traveling Bowling League, she was nothing short of exceptional. The many trophies throughout her home stood as quiet witnesses to her skill, her focus. Her greatest pastime was reading. She loved to read more than any other hobby.
Gladys leaves behind a legacy carried forward by her children: Michael L. (Shirley) Chambers Sr., Jacqueline R. (Michael) Howard, Donna D. (Larry Miles) Chambers, Vincent F. Chambers, David E. Chambers, Richard E. (Sheri) Chambers, and Jacquede A. (Carl) Moore.
Her love extends through more than 20+ grandchildren, over 45+ great-grandchildren, 15+ great-great-grandchildren, and even great-great-great-grandchildren—a living testament to a life that multiplied love across generations.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, her cherished son Jeff D. Chambers, and a host of dear friends who surely welcomed her home.
