Gloria De Paoli

It's with a heavy heart that we share that our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Gloria De Paoli, passed away peacefully at the age 89, on September 8, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Gloria was born April 11, 1936, in Iquitos, Peru to Margarita Cockburn Raygada and Guillermo Hidalgo. She was preceded in death by one son, Ricky De Paoli and her husband Ernesto De Paoli. She is survived by her children; Ernest De Paoli, Sergio De Paoli, and four beloved grandchildren Morgan, Grant, Sergio and Karina.

Gloria spent her early years in Lima, Peru living with her parents, brother Guillermo and sister Blanca. In 1963, Gloria moved to Houston, Texas with her husband and children to start a life in the States.

Gloria's life was a testament to the value of kindness and generosity and will always be remembered as a servant-hearted woman who shared love, joy, and gratitude with everyone she encountered. She had a unique way of making people feel welcomed and constantly looked for ways to help her family, friends, and coworkers. Gloria loved the beach, soaking up the sun, and traveling. When she was at home, she loved being with her friends and family above all else – her biggest pride and joy was cooking for everyone and spending time with her beloved children and grandchildren.
