Obituary

Our Beloved Don passed away on October 18, 2021, at the age of 63. He was born on October 4, 1958, in Dallas, Texas. He resided in various cities and states with his parents before settling in Fort Worth, Texas. He graduated college from the University of Texas in Austin. Don and Elvira were married on April 4, 1986 and in 1993 they built their home in Plano, Texas where they raised their three children. His hobbies included listening to music, building computers, reading, playing XBOX, and flying planes. He favored The Beatles and shared his love of music with his children and granddaughters. He loved spending time with his family and especially his granddaughters. He was retired and caring for his father while he himself was battling stage 4 colon & liver cancer. He fought cancer for 3 years and the only complaint he made was about how much he missed his great head of hair. He is survived by his wife, Elvira Gray, of Plano; son, David S. Gray, also of Plano; daughter, Rocio Wade and her husband Corey Wade of Plano; granddaughters, Sydney, Zoe, and Indie Wade all of Plano; father, David E. Gray of Ft. Worth; Mother in-law Petra Briones of Mexico; and numerous sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Ella M. Gray; brother, Glen D. Gray; and daughter Linda M. Gray. He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, cousin, son-in-law, uncle and friend that will be greatly missed. A service in celebration of his life will be held at 11:00A.M., Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Custer Road United Methodist Church, in Plano.
