Sherry Grieb was born 67 years ago in Dallas, Texas and died suddenly on Jan. 20, 2017 in her Carrollton, Texas home. Sherry attended Farmersville High School. After obtaining her bachelors and masters degrees from what is now the University of North Texas in Denton, she moved to Baltimore, Maryland to work and there she met her future husband. She lived most of her adult life in Carrollton and was retired from the City of Dallas Public Library System. Afterwards she worked part-time for the Garland Public Library. A faithful member of the Church of Christ, she was an animal lover who also loved to travel, cook, garden, and attend movies. Sherry is survived by her husband, George Grieb of 39 years; her mother, Madalynne Doyle; her sister, Frances Payne of Dallas, Texas; her sister, Cathy DuPre of Knoxville, Tennessee as well as beloved family members of her husband in the Philadelphia area. She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Doyle, and maternal and paternal grandparents. A memorial service to celebrate Sherrys life will be at the Webb Chapel Church of Christ, 13425 Webb Chapel Road, Dallas, Texas.
