Sydney Maynard Hammond was born on January 16, 1930 in Cambridge, Massachusetts and passed away peacefully at Medical City Dallas Hospital on December 2, 2013 of liver cancer. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Alberta; loving daughter, Laura; sister-in-law, Muriel Nadeau and her husband, Lennie. He retired from Mobil Oil after 37 years of service. A memorial celebration will be held at 2:30 P.M., on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church of Richardson. In lieu of flowers, the family gratefully requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or First Presbyterian Church of Richardson.
