Mr. Paul Jay Hardy of Dallas, Texas passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the age of 78. Paul was born to parents Ozella Eunice "Babe" Hardy and Harold Moaton Hardy on December 7, 1939 in Austin, Texas. He grew up the eldest of four children and graduated from The University of a Texas. Paul married his college sweetheart, Anne, in Austin in 1963 with whom he fathered a son, Jay. Jay preceded Paul in death in 2011. Paul started a successful real estate career in Austin and later, in Dallas. He traveled the world for business and pleasure and especially loved fly fishing in Montana. He was an avid reader and entertaining conversationalist. Paul is survived by two precious grandchildren, David and Eleanor and his daughter-in-law, Kirsten, of Massachusetts, his brother, Mike and his sister-in-law, Nancy, four nieces and one nephew. He is preceded in death by his son, his parents, his sister, Suzanne and his brother,Don. Paul is a recent convert to Catholicism and is a member of Mater Dei Latin Mass Parish Catholic Church in Irving. The family especially wishes to thank Olivia Franklin who has been Paul's Guardian Angel in Dallas over the last several years as he struggled with complications from a stroke. A Mass will be held with immediate family. Paul's cremated remains will be buried in Austin with his parents. The family is grateful for the condolences, but declines flowers and donations.
