Neva Nell Harris; born in Sunset, Texas on June 6, 1925; passed away in Dallas on January 3, 2017. She leaves behind her daughter, Kathy Harris; son, Tim Harris; son-in-law, Wally Bettes; grandson, Ryan Harris; several nieces and nephews; friends; and her furry child, White Dog. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Floyd and Oma Grissom; her dear brothers, Kenneth and Weldon Grissom and their wives; and her sister-in-law and best friend Eleanor Morris. Neva was a beautiful woman who loved traveling and parties, the El Fenix enchilada special, peanut patties, little league baseball, Glenn Ford, and cozy mysteries. She enjoyed watching Shark Tank, and was thrilled to get a congratulatory email from Mark Cuban for her 92nd birthday. She also enjoyed exchanging cards with her "birthday buddy" Steve Blow. She kept up with her high school friends, fellow Alvord High Bulldogs, and they will miss her phone calls. Neva Nell will be honored with a memorial service on January 11, at 4:30 p.m. at Greenland Hills Methodist Church, located at 5835 Penrose Ave; Dallas, TX.
