Henry Reed Siegerist
June 23, 1985 - September 30, 2024
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Henry Reed Siegerist, who was born on June 23, 1985, in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Reed left us on September 30, 2024, in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 39, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.
Reed's educational journey began at Culver Military Academy, as a third-generation attendee, wherein he graduated from the CMA Summer School in 1999, following in the footsteps of his cousins and siblings.
A proud graduate of The University of Tulsa, Reed earned his degree in Business, focusing on International Business and Spanish. He furthered his education by studying at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in 2016 and earned his Lean Six Sigma Belt from the University of Tulsa in 2012-2013.
Reed dedicated over nine years of his career to Hilti, where he excelled in various roles, starting as an Energy Account Manager for Nuclear Procurement & Contract Administration. He progressed to become a Logistics Specialist in the Procurement Department, then a Logistics Analyst for Supply Chain and Materials Management, ultimately serving as the Materials Manager. After Hilti, he took on the role of Sr. Strategist Sourcing Leader for MRO Procurement at Celanese, until 2020. He then served as a Sr. Buyer for Construction Procurement at 7-Eleven until 2022, before joining Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits as a Procurement Manager. In this position, he successfully negotiated over fifty contingent labor contracts and was responsible for approximately $600,000,000 in annual spend.
Reed was known for his dedication and hard work, but he also had a great sense of humor, often expressing himself with a special form of sarcasm that endeared him to many. He spoke three languages: English, German, and Spanish, showcasing his love for travel and culture.
He was extremely passionate about his family, friends, traveling, his career, and fashion—the boy sure knew how to dress! Reed also devoted his time to volunteering with several organizations, including The Salvation Army, the Tulsa Community Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, Promise House, and The Resource Center, which provides LGBTQIA+ affirming resources and advocacy for social equality.
Reed is survived by his parents, Janiece and Craig Siegerist of Woodbridge, Virginia; his older brother Ryan Siegerist and sister-in-law Stephanie Siegerist of Dumfries, Virginia, with their three children: Lillian, James, and Thomas; his beloved "older" sister Carolyn Siegerist McGuire and brother-in-law Drew McGuire of Tulsa, Oklahoma, with their child: Eleanor "Ella" Elise McGuire and bonus son Brody McGuire; and his partner Grady Conrad of Norman, Oklahoma.
