SUSAN JEANNE DIGGLE HORTON Susan Horton transitioned into the Peace and Love of God on Thursday, February 27, 2014. Susan was born in Dallas on November 30, 1920. Growing up on Swiss Avenue, she graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. Her further education included graduating from SMU where she was a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority. Susan worked as a model for Sanger Brothers, Tiche-Goettinger, and Neiman-Marcus until she married Paul B. Horton in 1949. She found great satisfaction in promoting Character Education for Dallas public schools, The Childrens Arts and Ideas Foundation, and Astrology. Susan was a board member and Secretary of the American Federation of Astrologers. She also studied in The Rosicrucian Order and followed the spiritual enlightenments of Father A.A. Taliaferro. She was a member of the Dallas Womans Club, Dallas Junior League and the Dallas Country Club. Susan is preceded in transition by her husband Paul B. Horton. She is survived by her son Bradfield R. Horton and his wife Blossom, her son Bruce R. Horton, her grandchildren Lucas Horton & Monica, Travis Horton & Gina, Lila Horton Stewart & Jeremy, Barrett Horton & Zoe, her great grandchildren Hutch, Leo, Sonny, & Taryn Horton, Aiden Stewart and her first cousins Cruger and Fonse Ragland. Susan loved astrology, philosophy, cooking, travel and animals. She was a wonderful lady, mother and friend. Susan will be missed by her family, but she, her husband, and her other admirers will be prancing through heavens doors. A memorial will be held at St Michaels Chapel at 5:30 pm on Monday, March 3, 2014.
