Cynthia Gail Bowles, Hume, was born Sep 15, 1956, and passed away Aug 2, 2014, after a year long bout with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon Bowles and Ramona Houston Bowles Whitley. Survived by beloved husband Cliff Hume, sister Sharon Bowles, brother Mark Bowles and wife Diana; nieces Jessica and husband Mark Self and their children Haleigh and Hunter; Erica Bowles and her children Corbin and Charley; nephew Eli Bowles; mother in law Larue Ferrell and her sister Retta Cook; sister in law Ann Sutter and her children William and Stephen; sister in law Leah Wilson and husband Ray; many other loving relatives from the Houston side of the family; and last, but not least, her 4-legged children Trixie and Woody. Cindy graduated from Sunset High School class of 1974, and University of Texas-Dallas. She went on to have successful careers as an interior designer, bartender at popular Dallas destinations, paralegal, and realtor for Ebby Halliday. Many people considered Cindy one of their best friends because she treated everyone like they were her best friend. Her cousin David Houston said: " I think Cindy's gift in life was making people laugh and making them happy and pretty much everyone she ever met loved her. I did." Cindy's family especially thanks "Dr. K's" team at Texas Oncology. A memorial celebration of Cindys life will be held at Kirbys Woodfire Grill on Greenville Avenue from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 10th. In lieu of flowers, contributions in honor of Cindy should go to the next cancer victim that touches your life. They will need your support.
