Described by director David Lynch as "simply the greatest actor in the world," John Hurt earned multiple BAFTA awards and nominations for his incredible thespian style performances in films starting in the late 1960s. His classic acting style and distinct voice landed him award winning roles in movies ranging from Indiana Jones, to Alien, to Watership Down. He would be one of the most recognizable actors to people from multiple generations due to the breadth of his filmography.
