In Loving Memory of Imogene Patricia Carter

Imogene Patricia Carter, born on September 13, 1933, to Lee and Helen Merritt, in Arkansas, peacefully passed away on October 19, 2025, in Dallas Texas. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion that will be cherished by all who knew her.

Imogene is survived by her three children and their spouses: Cathie and Terry Noble of Missouri, Gene and Janeen Carter of Idaho, and Chuck and Virginia Carter of Texas. Her family tree flourished with six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, each a testament to the warmth and care she poured into her family.

As a child, Imogene moved to Northern California, where she graduated from Live Oak High School alongside her high school sweetheart, Hubert Carter. Their love story continued as they married soon after graduation and built a life together first in Live Oak and then settled in Yuba City, raising their family with unwavering dedication.

Imogene's faith was a guiding light throughout her life. She was an original member of the Peachtree Lane Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday school, served as church secretary, and played an active role in women's ministries. Her commitment to her community was evident in service as a Camp Fire Girl Leader in the 1960s and as a Rideout Hospital auxiliary volunteer for over fifty years.

Imogene's zest for life was reflected in her love of travel, both across the country and around the world. She found joy in walking, gardening, and spending time outdoors, always embracing the beauty of nature and the company of loved ones.

Her gentle spirit, generosity, and unwavering faith touched countless lives. Imogene will be remembered not only for her devotion to family and community but also for the warmth and kindness she shared with everyone she met.

Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those who were blessed to know her.
