Ivan Sotelo, a father, husband, brother, son, uncle, cousin, and beloved friend, died on April 18, 2018. He was born on October 9, 1981 in Mexico City, the youngest of three children. As a father, to Soren and Ian Sotelo, he enjoyed teaching them new things and seeing them light up with joy when they would finally figure it out. Whether it was teaching Soren a new card game or magic trick, or dancing with the two to his favorite songs, he brought laughter to the room. He never met a stranger, no matter what city, state or country he was in. He has family and friends around the world, and they all remember when Ivan was in the room, that's when they would laugh the hardest and deepest. His heart was full of music. He had a song for every occasion, and there were no limits to where he would travel for a concert. With such a buoyant and outgoing personality, his memory will continue to live on in those who loved him. Nació en la Ciudad de México el 9 de octubre de 1981, el menor de tres hermanos y hermanas. Como padre de Soren e Ian Sotelo, le encantaba enseñarles cosas nuevas y ver como brillaban y cambiaban su semblante una vez entendían sus enseñanzas. Fuese que le estuviera enseñando a Soren cómo jugar un juego de cartas o un truco de magia, o que estuviera bailando una de sus canciones favoritas, hacía reir a quien estuviera presente.Con su acogedora actitud, nunca consideró a nadie como extraño, sin importar en que ciudad, estado o país se encontraba. Tuvo amigos y familia alrededor del mundo, y todos recuerdan los momentos en que él estaba presente, porque eran momentos cuando se contagiaban de risa y alegría. Su corazón estaba lleno de música. Tenía la canción perfecta para cada ocasión, y no existía límite a donde no viajara para asistir a un concierto. Con su extrovertida y cálida personalidad, su memoria permanecerá viva en cada uno de quienes lo amaron.
