Obituary

Clyde Williams Jackson died on February 28, 2020. He was born December 14, 1925, in Jacksonville Texas. He was a resident of Houston from 1939-2006 when he moved to Highland Springs Retirement Community in Dallas. Clyde graduated from the University of Houston School of Architecture and practiced architecture in Houston from 1950 until his retirement in 1992. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Richardson, TX. He served with the Fifth Marine Division on Iwo Jima during World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart. Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, Jewel and Clark Jackson and his brother, Clark Jackson, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joan (Jody) Jackson; son Christopher Jackson (Patricia); daughter Julie Clark (Jim); grandchildren Lauren Smith (Keegan); Rob Clark (Molly); Cameron Jackson, Evan Jackson and several nieces and nephews.
