Jan Ramsey Webster was called to be with the Lord July 5, 2026, by way of the Rainbow Bridge first. She was a loved and loving daughter, wife, sister, aunt, and friend, always quick with a laugh. She was battling dementia and fell and broke her hip.

Jan was born and raised in Mequon WI, middle child of Charles W Ramsey, Jr and Yvonne (Schmidt) Ramsey, July 31, 1959. She attended Heritage High School, playing piccolo and flute in the marching band. She developed a love of classical music that stayed with her throughout her life. She graduated with a BA from Carthage College in Kenosha WI.

She moved to Dallas after 3 years in Minnesota. Her favorite employment was 14 years at Mary Kay, manager of the switch boards where consultants would call in their orders, meeting Mary Kay Ash and making many friends. While employed at Mary Kay, she combined her love of pets with her avocation, as obedience trainer at Petsmart for 20+ years. She gave special attention to Cocker Spaniels coming thru her classes.

She is survived by brother John, sister Kim Jondahl, husband Chris Webster, and 5 nieces, cousins, and 6 in-laws. She is predeceased by both parents and father-in-law.

Jan survived breast cancer early in life, at 44. She was cancer free for 22 years. Awareness became an important cause, pink became a dominant color and favorite color, enhanced by her endeavors at Mary Kay. (pink is everywhere)

All her children were 4-legged. She rescued lost and surrendered dogs and cats for most of her life. She met husband Chris through animal rescue at the Carrollton Humane Society. She narrowed her focus to Cocker Spaniels, her favorite dog breed, with DFW Cocker Spaniel Rescue group for 25+ years. She rescued and fostered upwards of 150 dogs, cats, 2 bunnies and a swan. She adopted and raised many permanently as her own, and will be met at the Rainbow Bridge by all her many fur babies.

Jan wanted any celebration of her life to be "funny stories" of her or including her. Raise a toast of her favorite, chardonnay. In lieu of flowers, send charitable donations in her memory to DFW Cocker Spaniel Rescue or Susan G Komen foundation.
