Jared "J-Roc"
Ralph
Nov 16, 1991 — Sep 21, 2023
Jared Christopher Jamal Ralph was born November 16, 1991, in New Orleans, LA.
Jared is the first-born son of Eugene and Lillie (Horne) Ralph. He was 16 years old when he surrendered his life to Christ and was baptized at Gateway Apostolic Church in Mesquite, Texas. Jared served faithfully as a drummer on the Praise Team, in the Youth Group, on the Silent Praise Team, and anywhere that he was needed during his years of membership.
Jared's preschool learning years were spent at the Hammond's Nursery and L&L Learning Academy. He was home schooled during his elementary and middle school years in N.O.L.A. He attended High School at Gateway Christian Academy after arriving to Texas and graduated from Victory Christian Academy in 2010. Jared was a talented member of several football and basketball teams during his school years. After graduation from High School, he worked in the Service Industry, in Construction, and was a passionate song writer.
Jared was a loving brother to Lila Lewis, Preston Ralph and Eugene Ralph Jr, and was 'Uncle Roc' to his favorite nephew, Elijah Lewis. Jared also loved Bernice Lewis Gaines and Toni Marie Lewis as his own sisters.
Although Jared will be missed by his family, we praise God for the many ways He used him to bless the lives of other people while on this earth. Jared brought love and joy to many, while carrying an infectious smile with him everywhere.
Jared was preceded in death by his sister Leila Ann Lewis of New Orleans. Jared is survived by his parents Eugene Sr and Lillie of Dallas, TX; his sister Lila (New Orleans), brothers Preston and Eugene Jr (Dallas), and Nephew Elijah (New Orleans). He also leaves his God Parents Larry Clayton and Brenetta (Jerry Lewis), as well as several aunts, uncles and many cousins.
Thank you for your thoughtfulness and generosity. The love, sympathy, prayers and support that so many have shown during this difficult time, is appreciated more than words can express! Thank God for all of you!!!
