Jeffrey Wayne McKenney, 68, of The Colony, Tx, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on November 20, 2024.

Jeffrey "Pops" was born in Lincoln, ME to Virginia Prest on October 23, 1956. He went to school in Lincoln. He joined the United States Marines in 1974 where he proudly served for 4 years. He married the love of his life, Kathy Gosa at FBC, The Colony. Jeffrey is a retired Mechanic of many years; he earned his ASE certification at "Just Breaks" in addition to many other certifications. Jeffery taught himself to play the guitar and had a passionate love for music, he also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and shooting with his sons and brother-in-law. He enjoyed his retirement years gardening and spending time with his pets and grandchildren. He could always be found watching his favorite show, Star Trek.

Jeffrey is preceded in death by his grandmother, Gladys Kirk, and his father, Ard G McKenney.

Jeffrey is survived by his loving wife, Kathy McKenney, his four children, Trina Decker (Joe), Judy McKenney, Phillip McKenney, Joseph McKenney (Alejandra) and his grandchildren, Anthony, Tevin, Emmorie, William, Ember, David, Joseph "Buddy", Sherleen and Iden and his sisters Vickie, (Charles "Chuck"), Barbara (George), Valarie and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Monday, November 25, 2024, at Aria Cremation Service & Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Richardson of the First Baptist of The Colony, officiating. Interment will follow at 9:00 am. Tuesday, November 26 at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. Arrangements are by Aria Cremation Service & Funeral Home.
