Jerome Michael Hayes, better known as Jerry, Iceberg or Berg, passed away at the age of 60 on September 23, 2025.

Born in Austin Texas on August 23, 1965, his family moved from Austin to Maitland, Fla, Paris Tx, and settled in Clinton Ok.

Jerry completed college at SWOSU graduating with a degree in Journalism. Jerry moved to Dallas and took a job with Microsoft that lasted almost 20 years.

After leaving Microsoft Jerry took a few months off and visited Alaska to photograph the Borealis lights as well as a few trips to Austin and Orlando to visit family.

He also made a trip to Cork, Ireland with his sisters' family.

Jerry then went to work with Trend Micro who sent him on trips to Japan and Ireland. He enjoyed seeing the world a loved photographing the places he visited.

Jerry loved his work as an IT professional, but his passion was photography and promoting local music in the Dallas area thru Renegaderadio.net an internet radio station he created and managed for over 23 years. Jerry spent countless hours at shows photographing the bands then even more time editing the pictures before posting. He never charged anyone for this and was always willing to talk shop and help others wanting to pursue photography. I would list the bands he photographed and promoted but the list would be long, and I am sure I would leave some off. Lava Cantina and Renegaderadionet honored Jerry with a 2-night celebration of life. He will be sorely missed. Renegageradio.net will continue in his honor.

Survivors include his sister Joanna and Andy Pickering of Orlando, Fla, his three brothers John Hayes of Orlando, Fla Jeffery and Wendy Hayes of Austin, Tx and Jesse Paul Hayes of Oklahoma city, Oklahoma as well as his nieces and nephews Laura Pickering of Orlando, Fla, Jessica and Zach Pusta of Jarrell, Tx, Jeffery and Brittany Hayes of Pflugerville, Texas, Allyson Hayes of Austin, Tx , Austin Hayes of Coppell, Tx Zac Hayes of Clinton Ok as well as great nieces and great nephews.

Currently the family has not set a date for a memorial service.

A Celebration of life will be planed for a later date.
