John Harston was born December 31, 1962, to Frank and Alma Harston in Fort Worth, Texas. He was raised and loved by Frank and Sylvia Harston in Smithfield - North Richland Hills, Texas. He attended Smithfield Elementary, Smithfield Junior High, and Richland Highschool.
After two years of constant illness, his body could not go on any longer. He fought hard and had a lot of terrible things happen to him in his lifetime.
He was a great, loving, wonderful father. He loved his family very much. He was so proud of his daughter Jennifer and of his precious grandchildren. He loved his granddaughter Jilly and his grandson Logan, whom he lovingly referred to as 'Hoss.' His favorite memory with Garett was watching play lacrosse.
He was the best friend you could ask for and always had your back. He helped others even at his own expense. He loved sled hockey, the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Stars, RUSH, and fishing. He was proud to be a part of the Smithfield Masonic Lodge.
John is survived by his daughter Jennifer Larsen, her husband Larry Larsen and grandchildren: Jillian Conaway, Logan Larsen, and Garett Larsen.
John was preceded in death by his birth mother Alma Harston, Father Frank Harston, and Mother Sylvia Harston.
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith.
