Obituary

Nichols, John Grayson, Jr. (Chip) was welcomed by His Savior on Saturday, February 13, 2021. He is survived by his wife of almost 41 years, Deborah; children: Sundae (Lily); Grayson (Chelsea), and Kip (Anne-Claire); grandchildren: Jog, Mary Caroline, and Tripp; sister: Lynn Lindley; brother: Rick Pierce; and many nieces and nephews. Chip was born on October 27, 1952, in Washington D.C. and graduated from Richardson High School (1971) and the University of North Texas (1975).  He earned his MBA from Colorado State University. Chip earned the designations of Certified Public Accountant, Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Financial Planner, and Certified Internal Auditor. He and Deborah worked together many years in their CPA practice, and Chip also served as Vice President of Rash & Associates and as a Director at Duff and Phelps before retiring to join Deborah in her CPA practice. Chip's work was not what defined him; his desire was to live a life that exemplified Jesus Christ. He was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ, leading his family and serving at All Saints Catholic Church as a CCD teacher, confirmation sponsor, and engaged couple sponsor. A memorial mass will be held Wednesday, February 24, at 1:00 pm at All Saints Catholic Church. (5231 Meadowcreek Drive, Dallas, TX  75248). In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to A Simple House of Sts. Francis & Alphonsus, c/o Clark Massey, P. O. Box 412858, Kansas City, MO  64141.
