Obituary

Joe was born in Port Clinton, Ohio on March 19, 1943, to his father, Reverend Louis Klesken and his mother, Emma Korinek Klesken. He and his family later moved to Trenton, NJ where he was raised. Joe was the youngest of three children and had an older brother, Dan, who is now deceased and older sister, Mary, who still lives in New Jersey.

Joe engaged in several sports growing up, as well as music, in which he played the trumpet. He attended Trenton State College where he met Joanne Sheehan, and they later married. He was drafted in 1966 and after basic training in Fort Dix in New Jersey, he attended officer candidate school at Fort Sill in Lawton, OK. After being honorably discharged, he graduated from Rider College in Lawrence Township, NJ.

Joe and Joanne welcomed daughter, Kerrie in July of 1969. Soon after, Joe accepted a position with American Express and they moved to Richardson, TX. He went on to work in sales for several other industries including as a stockbroker with Shearson Lehman Brothers. He would later retire and pursue other interests and hobbies, mainly including being an avid sports fan. His beloved NY Yankees were his all-time favorite team and he also cherished the Oklahoma State Cowboys.

Joe spent most of his adult life as a bachelor living in the same home for over 47 years in Dallas, TX.

He adored his daughter, Kerrie, and his two grandchildren, JQ and Claire Adams. He also loved and respected his son in law, Bryan. He enjoyed his holidays with Kerrie and Bryan's extended family.

In addition to his daughter, Kerrie and husband Bryan Guderian, grandchildren JQ and Claire Adams, he is also survived by sister Mary Humphrey, nieces Kristen Klesken Ghost, Laureen Humphrey Ressler, and nephews, Andrew Klesken and Brad Humphrey.

We are thankful for all of the love and support of his friends and family, especially Mike Oonk and Mike Leddy, as well as the many caregivers that provided much love and support to Joe in the last months of his life.
