Juana Rosario Cruz, lovingly known as "Tita" or "Juanita" by her beloved family and friends, passed away in Plano, Texas on October 10, 2024, at the age of 86.

She was born on June 24, 1938, in the neighborhood known as Barrio La Paloma in the city of Hatillo on the "Enchanted Island," Puerto Rico. Her parents were Demetrio "Pito" Rosario Rivera and Sara Cruz, who was also known as Carmen Sara Cruz Martinez or Rosario Cruz Martinez.

Perfectly coined as a "Mother to All" by one of her grandchildren, just begins to describe how at the young age of 7 she was thrusted into taking care of her siblings so early on in life at their humble home. Her motherly love and care were extended to, and experienced by, anyone who got to know her.

At the age of 16, her family decided to move to Brooklyn, New York, for a chance at a better life. There she worked in various jobs to help bring the rest of her family from Puerto Rico. At the age of 18, she began a family of her own, where she had a total of five (5) children.

Gifted with heavenly cooking skills, Tita was able to show her entrepreneurial and hard-working skills by having a restaurant by the name of "El Criollo Restaurant" in Brooklyn, New York.

Her life's journey also took her to live in additional places like Miami, Florida; Cleveland, Ohio; Freeport, New York and her final living place in Plano, Texas.

A firm believer in Christ, Tita was the true definition of a Servant's Heart. She was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back, and make sure to ask for your well-being before her own.

She was fiercely loyal to her friends and family, loved unconditionally, and would spare nothing, while going to the ends of the Earth to never fail to show up for you.

Though she may be gone, Tita's beautiful smile and her voice will forever echo in the hearts of those who loved her, reminding us to always serve others, cherish our loved ones, and never, ever give up.

Dennis Rosa, son, 61, with one grandchild, and three great grandchildren

Hermes L. Rivera Rosario, daughter, 53, with two grandchildren

Siblings: Gregorio, Iris, Maria, and Elba, and her many beloved nieces, nephews, sons-in-law, and daughters-in-law.

Juana was preceded in death by: Carmen Sara Cruz Martinez (mother), Demetrio Rosario Rivera (father), and siblings: Roberto Rosario, and Leonides Rosario.

Her final viewing will be held on October 14th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm CST at the ARIA Cremation Service and Funeral Home, 19310 Preston Road, Dallas, Texas

Later, at 1:00 pm CST the memorial service and burial will be at her final resting place at the Plano Mutual Cemetery, 2128 18th St, Plano, TX 75074.

Juana Rosario Cruz, conocida cariñosamente como "Tita" o "Juanita" por su querida familia y amigos, falleció en Plano, Texas, el 10 de octubre de 2024 a la edad de 86 años.

Nació el 24 de junio de 1938 en el Barrio La Paloma en la ciudad de Hatillo, en la Isla del Encanto, Puerto Rico. Sus padres fueron Demetrio "Pito" Rosario Rivera y Sara Cruz, también conocida como Carmen Sara Cruz Martínez o Rosario Cruz Martínez.

Perfectamente descrita como "Madre de Todos" por uno de sus nietos, esto apenas comienza a describir cómo a la temprana edad de 7 años fue dedicada a cuidar a sus hermanos y hermanas a tan temprana edad, en su humilde hogar en Hatillo. Su amor y cuidado maternal se extendió a, y fue experimentado por, cualquier persona que llegara a conocerla.

A los 16 años, su familia decidió mudarse a Brooklyn, Nueva York, en busca de una mejor vida. Allí trabajó en varios trabajos para ayudar a traer al resto de su familia desde Puerto Rico. A los 18 años, comenzó su propia familia, teniendo un total de cinco (5) hijos.

Dotada con habilidades culinarias celestiales, Tita mostró sus habilidades emprendedoras y trabajadoras al tener un restaurante llamado "El Criollo Restaurant" en Brooklyn, Nueva York.

El trayecto de su vida también la llevó a vivir en otros lugares como Miami, Florida; Cleveland, Ohio; Freeport, Nueva York, y su último lugar de residencia en Plano, Texas.

Fiel creyente en Cristo, Tita fue la verdadera definición del Espíritu de Servicio. Era una persona que te daría la camisa de su espalda, y se aseguraría de preguntar por tu bienestar antes que el de ella.

Era leal a sus amigos y familiares, amaba incondicionalmente, y no escatimaba en nada, y llegaría hasta el fin del mundo para siempre apoyarte y nunca fallarte.

Aunque pueda que ya no esté presente con nosotros, la hermosa sonrisa y voz de Tita resonarán por siempre en los corazones de aquellos que la amaron, recordándonos siempre servir a los demás, apreciar a nuestros seres queridos, y nunca, nunca rendirnos.

Su cuerpo estará expuesto el 14 de octubre de 10:00 a.m. a 12:00 p.m. CST en ARIA Cremation Service and Funeral Home, 19310 Preston Road, Dallas, Texas.

Después, a la 1:00 p.m. CST, el servicio conmemorativo y el entierro serán en su último lugar de descanso en Plano Mutual Cemetery, 2128 18th St, Plano, TX 75074.
