William F Judd (Bill), a faithful man of God, astute businessman and Razorback, went home to be with The Lord on March 3, 2017. Bill was born to Floyd and Floriebelle Judd in Nashville, TN on July 18, 1932. After his father became owner of the Coca-Cola distributorship, they moved to Camden, AR. As a young man, Bill and his brother Bernard Judd worked at his family's Coca-Cola distributorship loading cases of Coke onto wagons for delivery. After graduating from the University of Arkansas, where he was a Sigma Chi and member of ROTC, Bill joined the Air Force and graduated from pilot school in San Angelo, TX in 1954 and was stationed in Rapid City, SD. Bill left the US Air Force in 1958 and became a CPA with Peat, Marwick, and Mitchell. He later joined Seay Sharp Insurance Brokers in Dallas. After a few years, Midland, TX and the oil industry called his name and he became treasurer and later CEO of Texas American Oil. Gov. Martha Layne Collins commissioned Bill a Kentucky Colonel in 1983. After retiring, he moved back to the Dallas area to be near his children. Bill and his sweet wife Roxie were busy with Bible Study, dinner groups, Sunday School, bridge and they were very active in their church, Stonebriar Community Church, where he was an usher. Bill was preceded in death by his mother and father and his brother Bernard. He is survived by his precious wife, Roxie Judd, daughter, Elise Judd of Carrollton, TX, son David Judd and wife Carol Ann of Alamonte Springs, FL and Claude Judd and wife Amy of Carrollton, TX , two stepsons Kevin Davis and wife Nancy of Burleson and Keith Davis and wife Michelle of Edmond, OK and grandchildren Abbey Judd, Tripp Gleason, Peter Gleason (Elizabeth), Sarah Judd, Ben Nielsen, Katie Nielsen, Jacob Davis, Sarah Davis, Rachel Whitlock (Blaine), Ali Davis, Rebekah Davis and Joshua Davis. Interment with Air Force Honors will be at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, March 9, 2017 at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. The family asks in lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of William F. Judd be made to Dallas Theological Seminary, 3909 Swiss Avenue, Dallas, TX 75204.
