Betty Jane Karsten age 79, of Frisco passed away on August 4, 2016 at home surrounded by her beloved children. She was born on March 9, 1937 in Shaw, Minnesota. She was a loving mother and friend. She worked with Frisco ISD for over 10 years caring for the "little ones". She loved to read, listen to music and watching movies were her favorite past times. She is survived by her son, Michael, daughters Joy and Linda, son-in-law, Paul, granddaughter, Amy, grandson Adam, sisters, Nancy and Sally, and brother, Brian. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 6:45 P.M., Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Preston Ridge Baptist Church located at 5849 Hillcrest in Frisco, Texas.
