Obituary

June grew up in Dallas Texas. She loved art and learning and excelled in both. She was resolute in always giving of her talents, creativity, education, and faith. Her contribution in the advancement of others still lives on today. Her constant concern for those around her and in her community is prevalent in how she lived her life.

She was a member of the Honor Society Woodrow Wilson High school. She attended Texas Women's University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Education. She earned her certification in Progressive Montessori. She was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Divinity by the National Clergy Association. In her late sixties, she achieved certification as an Aquatic Fitness Instructor.

Her professional life began as fashion window designer in Corsicana Texas. Soon she used her passion as an art instructor for the Dutch Art Gallery in Dallas. Her managing skills came into play while Religious Director for the First Unitarian Church Dallas. Gaining her license from the State of Texas she was the director for Richardson Childcare Center. Realizing she was gifted in teaching she became an educator for the Richardson Independent School District. After teaching in public schools for seventeen years, she became involved as national overseer for Flame International Christian Women's Groups. She enjoyed teaching her Aquatic Arthritis Fitness class.

June was married to George W. Baker for 55 years until his passing in 2010. Their two children are Kirk Baker and Kay Baker Kuneman. Her Son- in- law is Gary Kuneman. She has two Granddaughters Arielle Baker, and Ariana Baker. She has three great grandchildren Cyril, Violette, Korban.
