Katherine Griffin (Lil Baby) 87, died at the Cityview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ft. Worth, Texas on the morning of Monday, January 4, 2026.

Katherine was born on December 28, 1938, in Memphis, Tennessee. She later moved and lived in Chicago, and Robbins, Illinois where she worked for St. James Hospital, in Chicago Heights, Illinois as a Nurse Aide up until 1996. After transitioning to Dallas, Texas where she worked for the RHD Medical Center, Dallas, Texas in Operational Supply until she retired in 2007.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Ewing Hunter and Pearley Lee Hunter and three Brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her children, Darius A. Griffin (Dee), Sherri England (James), Marvin Griffin (Jennifer), Tomicka Moreno and seven grandchildren and a host of numerous nieces and nephews.

Katherine enjoyed a life of travel and her grandchildren. Her final resting place will be her favorite view of the ocean in Puerto Rico.

Services will be held at the North Dallas Funeral Home at 2710 Valley View Lane in Farmers Branch, Texas 75234. There will be a memorial service later in the year (tentatively around Mother's Day 2026) to commensurate a celebration of her life.
