Obituary

Edward L Kelley was born on May 29, 1941 in Connecticut. He moved to Dallas, TX. Edward enlisted in the United States Navy Kitty Hawk Catapult in 1959, and served his country for four years until 1963. He married Jean Kelley in Scotland on October 12, 1964 to whom he was married for 50 years. Edward worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 37 years, retiring in 2000. Edward and Jean had three children and lived in Irving for 50 years, until her death in 2014. He remarried on June 6, 2015 to Francine Fowler. He was a loving Christian, and a member of the Dallas and Euless Baptist Church. Edward was a jogger, and took part in several charity runs with the Gold Wing Club, which he was a member of. Edward and Jean traveled extensively all over the United States. They visited several countries in Europe, Japan and Hong Kong. He enjoyed tent and RV camping with his family, as well as tours with the Gold Wing Club. Edward was a soccer player and loved watching the World Cup. He loved music, and particularly enjoyed listening to Danny Ray, Blanson Shows , ABBA, John Wayne, westerners, and other great CD music. Overall, he was a mentor to his children and grandchildren. Up until the moment the Lord took him to heaven, along with Francine, he was very active participating in different activities and trips around the community home. They also took part on the rec center dance. Edward is survived by his three children, Pamela Bennett and her husband Ricky, David Kelley and his wife Mary, Paul Kelley and his wife Denise; his grandchildren, Shawn, Brett, Chad, Collin, Courtney, Grant, Andrew and Scott. He is also survived by his wife, Francine and her two daughters, Pam and Kim; his sister Mona Sload; his brother in law David with his wife Dorothy and their son Alexander; and the rest of his family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 5:30 pm at the Aria Funeral Home Chapel. Please send the family condolences and sign the guest book on this site.
