Obituary

Becky Jones Kendall, daughter of the late Eddie Lee Jones, Sr. and Mollie Mae Jones, was born on December 15, 1953; she was educated in the Birmingham, Public School System and graduated from Stephens College in Missouri. She was one of five children and she was preceded in death by her Father Eddie Lee Sr., Mother Mollie Mae and three Brothers Roderick, Larry and her oldest brother Eddie Lee Jr. Professing her faith and accepting Christ at an early age she united in fellowship at Mt. Carnal Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama and later united with Oakview Baptist Church in Irving, Texas. Becky, until her untimely death worked as a Para Professional in the Irving Independent School System. Becky was very beautiful inside and out with a beautiful smile and she had a very quiet spirit about her, she was never afraid to speak up on things that she was passionate about. She loved her husband of 33 years, they complemented each other. While married to Phil she had the opportunity to go places she never dreamed she would go. Her strength came from God almighty and from being married to a strong manGod blessed her to see her boys go from kindergarten to college; she was a good wife and a wonderful mother. Becky is at peace knowing that she gave her life to Christ and that her boys have grown up to be productive young men. Her sister, even though they are not twins they were inseparable growing up. If you saw Becky, you could be assured that Sandra wasn't far behind. They truly loved each other and were always there for one another. Her memory will be forever cherished by her faithful husband Phillip, her three sons Nicholas, Benjamin and Derik. Her only sister Sandra J, Dickinson; and a host of loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Her Aunts, Lessie Lee Sims and Annie Bessie Banks, who was like a mother to her when she was growing up in Alabama. Her devotion to the Lord and her gentle spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with a Celebration of Life to follow at Oakview Baptist Church, 1004 S Story Road, Irving, Texas 75060.
