Kenneth Brian
Himes
Feb 24, 1966 — Oct 7, 2025
It is with profound sorrow that we inform you of the passing of our beloved son, Kenneth Brian Himes (59) on October 7th, 2025. He was born in Mesa, Arizona on February 24th, 1966.
Brian lived life his way and was proud of it. He always believed in working hard and playing hard. Failure was not an option. Brian excelled in sports from an early age. Football, Baseball, Basketball, Golf and Tennis were his favorites. Brian had a full work career starting his own business as a teenager mowing lawns, shoveling snow, stringing Tennis rackets, owning water vending machines in Arizona and across West Texas. He spent many years as a regional division VP for Ready Ice. He was based in their Dallas Headquarters but traveled the US continent as well as Alaska and Hawaii. He loved Alaska, Arizona and of course Texas. He used to tell people he sold Ice to the Eskimos. He loved going to the locker room to provide Ice for the Cowboys. He was so proud to be the ICEMAN. His favorite time of year was Football season and for many years had season tickets to The Cowboys games. He has lived in Irving, Texas for 30+ years.
Brian is survived by his parents, David and Tonya Himes, brother Dr. Nathan Himes, sister-in-law Dr. Blanca Himes, niece Sylvia Himes, and nephew Julian Himes. Brian was also blessed with a special son, Robbie Stone, who has been by his side the last few years. He has many aunts, uncles and cousins as well as friends who love him.
We will selflessly miss his wit, humor and kindness but feel there is a higher place. He suffered on earth with health problems long enough for anyone. There will be many to love him in his eternal resting place. We take comfort in knowing that his legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched, inspiring us to live life to the fullest and to never give up on our dreams. His memory will be a blessing to all who knew him, and we will continue to celebrate his life, his love, and his unwavering spirit.
We will always be grateful to the Vitas Hospice team that took care of him as well as us through this most difficult time.
Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.
