August 12, 1937 - August 12, 2019 Gerald Wayne Key, 82, of Lancaster, Texas, passed away on August 12, 2019 after battling Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Wayne was born on August 12, 1937 in Dallas, Texas, to Jesse R. Key and Ruthie Mae Williams. On August 1, 1959 he married the love of his life, Francis Rosie Lee Gallagher and was a devoted husband for 57 years. He was the father of 5, grandfather of 14 and great-grandfather of 5. Wayne was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt and fish, and was always eager to share those experiences with family and friends. Wayne is preceded by his wife, Francis Rosie Lee Key, by his daughter, Shelley Annette Key Ashcraft, by his sister, Edith Key and by his grandson, Jesse R. Key. He is survived by his children, Shirley Jeanette Key Johnson and husband, Paul of Arlington, TX, Sheryl Renee Key Baughman and husband, Fred of Nevada, TX, Kimberley Michelle Key and husband, Travis Wood of Henderson, TX, and Douglas Wayne Key and wife, Heather of Fate, TX; grandchildren, Luke and Jake Johnson, Daniel and Michael Horn, Dakota Deshazer, Gabriel Key, Isaiah Key and wife, Sadie, Tressie Key, Sharie Kirk and husband, Otis, Davy Ashcraft and wife, Celeste, and Hailey, Lauren and Austin Key; great-grandchildren, Dalton and Laney Kirk, and Cassidy, Carmindy and Camilla Ashcraft.
