Obituary

Ernest Moore Kimbrough, Jr. (Squee), 77, of Haskell, Texas, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017. Squee was born in Haskell By God, Texas on January 24, 1940. He graduated from Haskell High School and attended Schreiner, Texas Tech University and graduated from McMurry College. He settled in Dallas, Texas where he spent over 50 years and just returned to his hometown of Haskell 3 years ago. Squee worked for Southwestern Life Insurance Company when he first came to Dallas. He worked in real estate, oil and gas as well as banking. He most recently spent his time lending a hand when and where he could in the community of Haskell. Squee never met a stranger. His favorite quote he often shared with family was "May the best of your past be the worst of your future." He joined AA in March 1987 and worked the program for over 30 years. Squee was a mentor, sponsor and friend to so many. While in Dallas, he was active at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church. Squee is survived by his children, Kelly Kimbrough, Ernest Moore Kimbrough III (Trey), and Emily Weber; his grandchildren, Shea Kimbrough, Taylor Kimbrough, Clay Kimbrough, Hayden Weber and Nate Weber as well as his sister, Claire Kimbrough Bowden. Many Kimbroughs and friends also survive him. His parents, Ernest Moore Kimbrough, M.D. and Bernadine Allen Kimbrough, precede him in death. Donations may be made to Haskell Cemetery Assn. P.O.
