Obituary

Martha Rebecca Needham King, born September 3, 1940, in Houston to Billy and Roberta Needham passed away March 4, 2018, in Dallas at the age of 77. A beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and to anyone who knew her would say she had a vibrant & contagious smile. Known as a "Hostess with the Mostest", she was a homemaker extraordinaire, coordinator and lifeline to the Goff Clan, teacher of Sunday school, GA's, Acteens, VBS, Young Women, Camp Counselor, Youth Group, and Longtime adult SS leader. She became a mentor to young Moms at MOPS when she moved to Sierra Vista Arizona in 2010. Her daughters would say "Being born to a handicapped mom was the greatest blessing they could have ever received. She instilled in them faith in God, strength and endurance, patience and tender loving care for others". She counted the "girdies" as gifts, but to them she was their greatest gift. Her courage, bravery, love, and strength could certainly be an inspiration to everyone. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Kimberly Wyant, Christy Spencer and Robin Ashmore; sister and brother-in-law, Billie Ann and Lynn Hayes; grandchildren, Garrett, Casey, Ben (Tyler), Luke (Madisson), Colton, and Caitlyn; great grandchildren, Haylea, Logan, Scarlett, Cade and Paisley; nephews, Barry (Donnell and Michael Lynn) and Bryan Hayes.
