Obituary

Loving husband and father, Louis Bryant Knight, Jr. passed away on November 25,2017. He was 89 years old. Lou was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, to his parents Phyllis and Louis Bryant Knight, Sr. He attended Nicholls High School. He was a WW2 veteran having served in the Merchant Marines. He started his lifelong career with Eljer Plumbingware in New Orleans and relocated to Dallas in 1960 with his family. His career brought him to Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, and Houston, Texas. There he met Cynda, and they began a wonderful relationship, married soon afterwards, and eventually settled in north Dallas. Lou and Cynda volunteered for Meals on Wheels for 18 years. Lou was an avid golfer, he loved life, and enjoyed having a good time. He even invented the cocktail "Louie the Potty Peddler" which was served at many parties. Lou and Cynda felt it was important that their combined families got to know each other, so they created "Cousins Week" a yearly event which turned out to be a great success. He is survived by his loving wife, Cynda Knight, sisters, Phyllis Peralta and Beverly Perry, brother-in-law Elliot Peralta, his children Kylen Lindsley and Michael Knight, his son-in-law Philip Lindsley and daughter-in-law Connie Knight, grandchildren: Elizabeth Carpenter, Kyle Knight, Karey Pustejovsky, and Ryan Ferguson, as well as nine great grandchildren.
