Konefal Christine "Kitty Rooney" Mt Carmel PA- age 79 died Saturday July 18, 2015 in Plano Texas. Christine was born the second youngest of ten children to Mary and Edward Rooney in Mt Carmel, PA. Kitty is survived by her loving children David, Gary, Jeffrey, Colleen and Jason, as well as many grandchildren, nieces and nephews and her two sisters Cookie and Sweet Tooth. Her husband Stanley Konefal was killed in the line of duty while commanding the Cornwells Heights Fire Company. Kitty was a stay at home mom who often cared for all her children as well as many of the kids in the neighborhood. She had an open door policy to any kid who needed a drink or something to eat,and her house was often filled with children. The family wishes to thank her special care givers Jason and Rob and all of their friends and neighbors who made Kittys life as pleasant as possible over her last couple of years. They are truly angels in disguise. Interment: August 1st at 11:00 am at Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem, PA. A service followed by a reception will be held at 1:00 pm at Colleen Konefal-Pales house at 1281 Spencer Road, Ivyland, PA.
