James went home to our Lord on June 9, 2017. He was born on February 21, 1943 in San Angelo Texas and was married to his wife, Delores Ann Kuykendall for 39 years. He leaves behind daughters, Constance Rose of Madison, Alabama, Tresi Petree of Plano, Texas, Jodi Kuykendall of Weatherford, Texas, sons James Kuykendall IV of Lake Jackson, Texas, Chuck Kuykendall of Sherman, Texas, Adam Kuykendall of Temple, Texas and 6 grandchildren. He has one brother, David Kuykendall of Anna Texas and one sister Patty Miller of Garland Texas, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. James loved anything and everything that had a motor and would go fast. Over the years he had a plane, two Corvettes, numerous boats and motorcycles. As a teenager until his late 60s he was known by the family (and many police officers) as "Leadfoot". He only knew two speeds and that was stop and as fast as his car, plane, boat or motorcycle would go. And he had a box full of speeding tickets to prove it. He and Ann loved Colorado and they would vacation there most every year until their health began to decline. He was forced to retire in 2011 due to health reasons. He was a dedicated employee and often called a workaholic in business and at home. He took pride in everything he did, he was a perfectionist. He was a member of Grace Outreach Center and faithfully served on the Greeter Team. James wife, Ann, is in a nursing home in Gainesville. He tried to visit her every week if possible to spend quality time with her. He would take her shopping (his personal favorite of course), out to eat and occasionally a movie. Its always so hard to say goodbye. We love and miss you! We know when the Good Lord is ready well be together again. A celebration of life service will be held at 10:30 A.M., Friday, June 16, 2017 at Grace Outreach Center in the Chapel located at 5000 W. Parker Road, Plano, Texas 75093. Arrangements are under the direction of ARIA Cremation Service and Funeral Home 19310 Preston Road Dallas, Texas 75252 214-306-6700
